Steve is an accomplished business leader with more than 25 years of experience across the maritime, engineering, workforce solutions, government, and technology sectors. He has built and led high‑performing organizations, opened new markets, and expanded capabilities for companies operating in complex industrial and government environments.
His leadership background includes senior executive roles with national maritime service organizations and within the global maritime and cruise industry. His experience spans shipbuilding and ship repair, marine operations, organizational strategy, business development, and large‑scale workforce planning. Steve has a proven record of developing growth strategies, strengthening customer relationships, and aligning workforce and operational capabilities with the needs of commercial and government clients.
Earlier in his career, Steve was an entrepreneur and technology innovator. He launched and monetized several start‑ups and contributed to the development of patented self‑service retail technology that helped accelerate early adoption of self‑checkout systems. He also supported the delivery of augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and advanced training solutions for military and commercial customers.
Steve is a U.S. Navy combat veteran whose service included Operation Desert Storm and Operation Provide Comfort. His military recognition includes the Navy Achievement Medal and additional citations for operations in the Persian Gulf and humanitarian missions supporting Kurdish refugees.
His commitment to workforce and industry development extends beyond corporate roles. He was appointed by the Governor of Virginia to the Greater Hampton Roads Workforce Development Board, is an emeritus member of the American Equity Underwriters Advisory Board, and has contributed to marine and coastal fisheries research in Florida.
Steve’s multidisciplinary background integrates operational strategy, law, engineering, science, technology, and organizational leadership. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law and undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Biology from the University of North Florida, where he achieved Dean’s List recognition.
