SeaForgeTM Consulting is a specialist maritime engineering team built by people who have lived your reality in shipbuilding. We have served at every level on Type-Commander staffs, supervisors of shipbuilding, public shipyards, ship lifecycle maintenance and management offices and ship’s force members on aircraft carriers, submarines and surface ships. Our consultants are nuclear-trained former commanding officers, chief engineers, reactor officers, naval architects, lifecycle managers, program managers SUBSAFE and technical authority experts. Our team is led by the former NAVSEA 05 Chief Engineer, RDML (Ret) Jason Lloyd.
We’re not career consultants learning your world on your dime. We’re practitioners who’ve delivered and managed the lifecycle of every ship class in the United States Navy.
Background and Experience of our Consultants:
Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Ship New Construction and Repair:
We have led programs in Aircraft Carrier and Submarine New Construction, Refueling Complex Overhaul, and non-nuclear surface maintenance availabilities. Moreover, we know every player involved in both CNO and TYCOM availabilities, from the RMCs to the AITs.
Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Ship Lifecyle Management:
We have led in Lifecycle Modernization and Maintenance of Aircraft Carriers, Surface Ships, Submarines and Manned and Unmanned Submersibles to ensure that Navy ships continue to meet ever changing operational requirements of Naval vessels. We have managed technical issues with NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, NAVSEA 08, and even commercial standards.
Navy Special Emphasis Program (SUBSAFE, FBW, DSS-SOC) Experts:
We have a detailed understanding of Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE), Fly- by-Wire (FBW), and Deep Submergence Systems, Scope of Certification (DSS-SOC) requirements and can assist companies to become qualified to perform work in these areas.
Program Managers:
We have a detailed understanding of Program Management of Navy ships and systems including government contracting, Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE), and the Defense Acquisition processes.
