Meet the Kelchen Family
What is DiGeorge Syndrome & Tetralogy of Fallot Congenital Heart Defect?
DiGeorge Syndrome & Tetralogy of Fallot Congenital Heart Defect, also known as 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, is a chromosome disorder that results in the poor development of several body systems. Medical problems commonly associated with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome include heart defects, poor immune system function, a cleft palate, complications related to low levels of calcium in the blood, and delayed development with behavioral and emotional problems. Saylor, along with Cody and Brittany, her parents, will have many surgeries and hurdles to navigate throughout her entire life. Gifts will help Saylor and her family manage the medical costs associated with her condition in order to help her succeed as she grows older.
