Client is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer. The Senior Network Engineer will ensure that the network environment is operating to its fullest potential by working with the IT leadership team to establish and lead the execution of the networking strategy across the enterprise. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will continually evolve the back office/network infrastructure environment to meet changing business needs. Additional responsibilities will include performing network maintenance and documentation, upgrades, installations, optimization, security, and disaster recovery planning/testing.


  • First tier support of all of our clients' network infrastructure
  • Third tier support for all other technology related problems
  • Document, monitor and maintain network hardware/software and configurations
  • Test, update and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans
  • Proactively manage appropriate security, access control and logging
  • Provide upgrades and installation projects as required
  • Proactively manage network capacity and performance
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement new infrastructure and network security technologies
  • Maintain and develop information security policies and procedures to meet compliance requirements and security best practices
  • Provide mentoring for other network administrators
  • Work with IT leaders to establish and execute the networking strategy across the enterprise
  • Engage and proactively manage outside partner/vendor resources
  • Manage network team projects, tasks, and workload


  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology plus 10 years of networking experience
  • CCNA certification required, CCNP preferred
  • Familiarity with ITIL Framework, ITIL Foundations certified
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of the various networking technologies including but not limited to:
    • Cisco switches, routers, access points, and security solutions
    • VoIP
    • Server and Storage virtualization
    • VPN
    • MPLS
    • 802.1x authentication
    • Advanced IP and VLAN configurations
    • PCI DSS security standards
  • Available on an on-call basis
  • Available for off-hours work on a scheduled basis
  • Ability to set short and long range plans and adjust his/her direction as needed
  • Excellent communication, customer service, problem solving, project management, mentoring and analytical skills
