  • Accountable for achieving well-defined projects, ensuring they meet schedule, specification, cost, and business case requirements expressed as objectives agreed with the Customer, Segment Director and supporting Functions. This includes the application of key program management processes and principles such as work breakdown structure application, customer/contract requirements & deliverable, integrated planning & risk management and fiscal and schedule management and reporting.
  • Coordinates with Sales / Bids & Proposal groups to understand and implement proposal plans/contract budgets, deliverables, schedules to establish accurate scope of contract work to meet contractual requirements. In conjunction with Sales and Bids & Proposals, directs the transition from the proposal phase to the contract phase, effectively communicating the requirements and objectives to all organizational disciplines. 
  • Proactively monitors risks, opportunities and project performance to ensure project is achieving all business objectives and coordinates development of recovery plans in areas of deficient performance.
  • Serves as the principal point of contact with the customer. Serves as the customer advocate for all matters pertaining to the assigned projects. As the customer advocate, participates in all areas requiring resolution, whether with other departments/functions, organizations or suppliers.
  • Assures adequate cost collection occurs to verify budget accuracy.
  • Evaluates all phases of the assigned projects including budget, schedule, technical performance, and manufacturing performance, actuals and variances. Provides periodic reports to management to reflect the status of the assigned projects. 
  • Ensures the establishment of effective and timely communications with the customer and internal functional groups.  Assists other Program Managers and Sales to quickly recognize, understand and implement changes in other programs and proposals from “lessons learned”. 
  • May have direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • May be required to occasionally travel to customer or supplier locations.
  • Support pipeline development and execution with Segment Director, Sales Managers, Solutions Sales Mangers, Service Centers, Project Leads and Customer Service 
  • Shared responsibility for Segment Revenue, Order Intake, and GM% 
  • Discuss and identify service / product / operational improvements with appropriate leadership 
  • Support Segment Director and Account Managers in making sales calls (including cold calls) on customers to identify opportunities for new Solutions consisting of FMD product portfolio.
  • Provide necessary information to customers including pricing, delivery and terms and conditions of sale – active selling is required 
  • Provide support to Segment Sales Directors and Solutions Sales Managers in pursuit of new projects, customer-initiated product upgrades and equipment investigations, aftermarket parts sales and product user groups 
  • Project manage assigned projects related to acquisitions and new service product introductions

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technical degree, project management, or equivalent program management experience is required.
  • Proven program management skills and leadership in a multi-functional environment. Demonstrable experience in interfacing with customers, suppliers and partners and managing customer interaction and requirements.
  • 3 –5 years of demonstrated, successful program execution experience or comparable experience is required.  Comparable experience may include periods in non-core project management roles related to the management of projects such as purchasing, contract management, engineering management, operations or customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an indirect team of 5-10 individuals, including providing feedback to direct managers for performance coaching.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Project Management certification is preferred .
  • Must possess demonstrated project management skills including an understanding of cost control and physical progress concepts, project organization, regulatory agency rules, decision making, and processes.
  • Must possess a high degree of organization skills and have a high level of oral and written communications skills to clearly and concisely express information (or data) to non-technical associates, peers, and management.
  • Must possess the ability to develop creative, sound solutions to commercial problems that balance customer expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Must demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of customer relations skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
  • Must be competent in the use of MS Office Suite including Microsoft Projects.
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
