POSITION SUMMARY

Execute the networking strategy across the enterprise. Provide technical expertise and recommendations, assume ownership of projects and tasks. Perform network maintenance and documentation, upgrades, installations, optimization, security, and disaster recovery planning/testing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Second-tier support of all our clients infrastructure.
  • Work with other IT teams to support all other technology related problems.
  • Document, monitor and maintain network hardware/software and configurations
  • Test, update and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans
  • Proactively manage appropriate security, access control, and logging
  • Provide upgrades and installation projects as required
  • Actively manage network capacity and performance
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new infrastructure and network security technologies
  • Collaborate with the IT security team to develop information security policies and procedures
  • Engage and proactively manage outside partner/vendor resources
  • Work collaboratively with other teams both internal and external (vendors) to help achieve the best technological success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years' IT experience
  • CCNA certification required, CCNP preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Framework. ITIL Foundation certification desired.
  • Robust technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to complete tactical and strategic solutions and redirect priorities as needed.
  • Must have broad experience in network support, including but not limited to:
    • Cisco networking platforms: Routers, Switches, Wireless, Firewalls, Network Access Control
    • IP and VLAN configurations
    • Packet Analysis
    • PCI DSS security standards
    • Palo Alto Firewalls
    • NetScaler ADC
    • Fatpipe Aggregation Devices
    • OSI Model
    • Network backup & recovery
    • Security Information & Event Monitoring
    • Understanding of Wide Area Networks including circuits, protocols, provisioning.
  • Available on an on-call basis.
  • Available for off-hours work on a scheduled basis.
  • Available for travel if required for projects.
