Accountant II FT Exempt Location: Appleton, Wisconsin Reports To: Controller
Overview TotalTek Inc. is actively seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented Accountant II to join our team! TotalTek is a Wisconsin based managed service company that focuses on Engineering and IT Solutions that can reach numerous locations throughout the country.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in the month-end closing process. Will have solid experience with reconciling balance sheet accounts, as well as a thorough understanding of payroll and payroll journal entries. This position is one that will have growth opportunities, however, it is not a management position.
Job Duties
• Post and review AP and AR general ledger postings to ensure accuracy • Perform and process Payroll entries (driving towards automation) • Reconcile weekly payroll along with quarterly tax reports • Assist with the periodic audit processes • Research and analyze expense variances for company management • Initiate and maintain out of state registrations • Complete various analytical projects assigned by management • All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements • 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience • Strong analytical ability and must have the capability to see the “big picture” and understand how things flow and are inter-related • Dynamic and self-motivated. Business acumen and drive necessary to be part of a fast-paced, changing environment • Must be very proficient in Excel • Excellent communication skills – must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing • A detail-oriented approach: Must pay extremely close attention to details and have the drive to get things right • Unquestionable personal and professional character and integrity. Must be trustworthy.
Preferred Qualifications • 4-5 years of general ledger accounting experience
Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as necessary • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time • Occasionally move throughout office environment • Continually observe information/data both on paper and electronically at a close range/distance • Continually operate computer and other electronic office equipment
